Job Summary
Receive and fill drink orders from patrons in a fast-paced environment, serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages responsibly while requesting identification and adhering to all venue and company alcohol service policies. Mix and serve drinks following standard recipes, collect payments, and make correct change. Maintain bar stock, keep the work area secure and clean, and clean and store bar equipment. Complete daily bar sales reports and perform opening and closing duties according to procedure. Work primarily nights and weekends, occasionally on holidays, with a positive demeanor to handle customer relations in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to speak and understand English
- Ability to deal effectively and courteously with venue staff and the general public
- Current, valid driver's license
- Current working home telephone with a number that can be accessed by building management personnel for business contact purposes
- Must be able to obtain all State and local required certificates and licenses necessary to serve food and alcohol
- Ability to maintain a calm, composed presence in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Ability to remember previously learned material
- Ability to identify choices and potential outcomes and make decisions based on best and most important choice
- Ability to regularly reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
- Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, and use hands and fingers
- Ability to occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to have close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
- Must be available to work primarily nights and weekends, and occasionally holidays
- Must have a positive and friendly demeanor
- Excellent skills in customer relations, communications and problem solving
