Job Summary
Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to club standards while verifying guest age and identity. Provide friendly, attentive service to members and guests, recommending drinks and food pairings based on preferences. Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar before, during, and after each shift, restocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and glassware. Accurately process member charges, cash, and credit card transactions through the POS system. Perform opening and closing duties, including cleaning equipment, balancing cash drawers, and securing inventory. Monitor alcohol consumption and practice responsible service. Assist servers with beverage orders and ensure timely delivery during dining service. Support club events, banquets, tournaments, weddings, and other special functions as needed. Work collaboratively with managers, servers, kitchen staff, and fellow bartenders to deliver exceptional member experiences.
Required Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience
- Strong knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math and cash handling skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Must be dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Current alcohol service certification (or ability to obtain one) as required by state or local regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events
