Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for making and serving beverages while ensuring a high level of hospitality. Key responsibilities include mixing and serving alcoholic beverages, maintaining inventory control, assisting in the creation of seasonal cocktails, and providing exceptional guest service. The role requires knowledge of cocktail recipes and compliance with state liquor laws. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, experience in a related field, and relevant certifications. Regular attendance and adherence to safe work practices are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- One to three months related experience and/or training
- ServSafe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent
- Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)
- Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace
- Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values
- Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to employees, clients and vendors
- Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding
