Job Summary
Open and close the bar in a timely manner, serving beer, wine, and other beverages while verifying age requirements and processing payments. Mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes, maintain inventory by requisitioning and stocking all supplies, and ensure proper sanitation throughout the bar area. Check IDs for customers under 30, receive cash, make change, and record charges to ensure accurate balances. Lock up equipment, deposit cash drops, and secure the bank. This role requires lifting 50-75 pounds, standing for extended periods, and climbing step stools. Employees must demonstrate strong time management, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and possess excellent customer service skills. Previous bartending experience is preferred. Required Qualifications
- Ability to lift 50-75 pounds and stay comfortable on their feet for the entire shift
- The position requires mobility. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to kneel, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects
- May be required to climb step stools of a height of 3 feet
- Must be capable of using Courage to work under pressure
- Excellence in strong time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Extreme attention to detail and quality
- Ability to follow verbal directions in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Previous experience as a bartender or similar role
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions by using Spirit
- Must be able to verify age requirements
- Must be able to check IDs of all customers consuming alcoholic beverages that appear to be 30 years old and younger and ensure alcohol is served responsibly and according to all laws
- Must be able to maintain a high level of cleanliness and awareness of sanitary practices
- Must be able to present a professional appearance and mannerisms
- Must be able to arrive at the scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to work
