Job Summary
Greet guests, take beverage orders from servers or directly from patrons, and mix drinks, cocktails, and other bar beverages as ordered. Check identification to verify age requirements, handle the assigned house bank, and follow all cash handling procedures while collecting payments and balancing receipts. Ensure the bar area is fully equipped with tools and products, prepare inventory, and serve snacks or food items where appropriate. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of food and beverage products, menus, and promotions. Maintain a warm, outgoing personality with excellent people skills to remain calm under pressure in a high-volume environment. Possess basic math skills to operate a point-of-sale system and hold a valid food handler card.
Required Qualifications
- Working knowledge of wine, beer, spirits and tending bar, with the ability to learn and follow recipes
- A warm and outgoing personality with a passion for food, wine, spirits and customer service
- Must have a commitment to deliver a unique and memorable guest experience
- Excellent people skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to multi-task and work well in a high volume environment
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Fluent in English
- Must have valid food handler card
Desired Qualifications
- At least two years of experience at a fast paced dining establishment
- Proficiency in other languages
