Job Summary
Mixes alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, cocktails and other beverages according to recipes and standards, promptly greeting guests and taking beverage orders from servers or guests; rings up orders at the POS, handles cash, and balances receipts; maintains a fully stocked, clean bar with properly arranged glassware and supplies; serves food items when appropriate; demonstrates knowledge of menus and promotions; participates in cleaning, setup, and breakdown, and may assist with catering events. Must verify guest ages for alcohol, report underage or intoxicated guests, and comply with Responsible Alcohol Service requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 1–2 years’ experience in bartending preferred
- Must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Service by applicable agency
- Must be 21 years of age or older (based on state law)
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience with Japanese cuisine, particularly sushi and sake preferred
- Basic understanding of wine, spirits and sake preferred
