Job Summary
Provide a pleasant drinking experience by serving drinks while maintaining a clean and sanitary bar area. Prepare and maintain ingredients following recipes, coordinate daily supply inventory, and contribute to drink menus. Adhere to proper alcohol handling, sanitation, and safety procedures, including dating, labeling, and rotation of beverage items. Ensure smooth bar operations during supervisor absence and resolve customer complaints. Complete cleaning schedules for the bar and dining rooms, assist with new employee orientation, and instruct personnel on equipment use. Maintain assigned tables, perform opening and closing checklists, and balance team responsibilities while demonstrating an interest in working with seniors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Server Training/ABC
- Computer skills required: Order Processing Systems
- Ability to communicate effectively speaking the primary language of the residents
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population
- Ability to respond promptly to resident needs
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Competent in organizational, time management skills
- Must demonstrate good judgment, problem solving and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in fine dining preferred
