Job Summary
Greet customers, verify legal drinking age, and take beverage orders directly or from serving staff. Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks using standard recipes, record orders into the register system, and process payments via the POS. Up-sell drinks and snacks while maintaining clean bar equipment and working areas. Limit issues related to excessive drinking by following established procedures and balance the cash register at shift start and close. Monitor inventory and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards. Requires previous bartending experience, thorough mixology knowledge, and full availability on nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience
- A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails
- A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests
- Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy environment
- Flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends
- Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
- Must be able to verify customers are of legal drinking age
- Must be able to follow established procedures to limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking
