Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Take food and beverage orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• •Serve food and drinks in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.
• •Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary options.
• •Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in throughout the meal and addressing any needs.
• •Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure correct and timely order delivery.
• •Handle payments, issue receipts, return change, or process credit cards.
• •Maintain cleanliness of tables, stations, and service areas.
• •Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• •Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner.
• •Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.
• •Memorize menu selections and wines, including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.
• •Use proper verbiage and etiquette, including serving ladies first.
• •Write the order in an order notebook.
• •Repeat the order back to guests for clarity.
• •Relay orders to the kitchen and service bar utilizing the point-of-sale system.
• •Observe guests to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when the meal has been completed for guest checkout.
• •Total the bill and accept payment or refer the guest to the cashier.
• •Ladle soup, portion pies and desserts, and brew coffee.
• •Notify a manager immediately of any guest complaints.
• •Practice and observe all safety rules and procedures.
• •Assist all service personnel in any duties as requested.
• •Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.
