Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing energetic service, mixing drinks, serving beverages, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a high-volume environment. Key responsibilities include communicating effectively with guests and staff, checking IDs, promoting current offers, and accurately recording sales and tips. Candidates should have bartending experience, knowledge of various beverages, and must possess necessary certifications and skills to handle food safely. The role may require lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and performing physical tasks efficiently.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math
- Reading and writing abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Fluent in languages other than English preferred
