Job Summary
Greet guests at the bar, promote house drinks, and prepare beverages while adhering to established recipes and pouring standards. Manage cash and credit payments, secure the bank, and balance drawers at shift end. Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption, verify identification, and alert management of safety or service issues. Set up the bar with liquor, ice, and garnishes, perform pre- and post-shift side-work, and conduct daily inventory checks. Maintain cleanliness by sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and ensuring proper equipment operation. Follow all company policies, safety standards, and mandatory meetings. This role requires standing and moving 75% of the time and may involve nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Minimum one-year experience in food service
- Basic knowledge of foods and beverages
- Service standards and procedures
- State legal age requirements
- Liquor Serving License depending on the requirement of the State
- Alcohol awareness certification
- Food service permit
- Valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
- Ability to stand and move at least 75% of the time
