Job Summary
Welcome guests, take and enter food and beverage orders into the POS system, and ensure drinks are served promptly according to specifications. Provide accurate menu information, verify guest identification for alcohol service, and monitor potentially intoxicated guests while refusing service when necessary. Replenish stock, clean spills immediately, and maintain bar top sanitation throughout the shift. Prepare guest checks, process payments, and ensure accurate accounting of bar monies. Respond to guest concerns, escalate incidents to management, and complete nightly, weekly, and opening/closing duties. Monitor equipment failures and safety hazards, reporting them immediately. Work varied shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Required Qualifications
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Valid Driver's License
- 21+ years of age
- Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience
- Experience with POS systems
- Strong beer and spirits knowledge
- Proper lifting techniques
- Guest relations
- Sanitation and safety
- Safe alcohol service
- Full service restaurant operations
- Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in the English language, both verbally and in writing with staff, clients, and the public
- Ability to walk long periods of time
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to use hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Ability to repeat the same movements for long periods of time
- Ability to understand the speech of another person
- Ability to speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Ability to push and lift up to 50 lbs
