Job Summary
Prepare and serve full menu items and beverages to airport guests while adhering to Mecklenburg County Health Department standards. Effectively up-sell in every transaction, manage monetary transactions, and enforce state liquor laws and company policies. Monitor and restock bar inventory, arrange displays, and complete daily cleaning duties including bar equipment maintenance. Communicate with customers, team members, and managers in a friendly, courteous manner within a fast-paced environment. Work 20-30 hours per week with varied shifts including nights, holidays, and weekends. Maintain flexibility for peak sales times and morning, afternoon, evening, weekend, and holiday coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Badge Required
- Must be available during peak sales times at their locations
- Ability to work in confined spaces
- Sufficient manual dexterity of hands in order to use a knife, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, tap kegs and extend arms overhead to stock items
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to read, write, and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and product documentation
- Ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management
- Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette
- Knowledge of basic math functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to use calculator
- Proven ability to develop relationships with customers and co-workers
- Ability to positively and pro-actively handle customer concerns and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a flexible schedule based on business needs, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus
