Job Summary
Greet guests with a smile, describe food and beverage options, and mix drinks using standard recipes while maintaining portion control. Keep the bar area organized, stocked with beer, wine, spirits, and fresh garnishes, and sanitize surfaces regularly. Input orders into the POS, manage cash and vouchers, and balance all moneys by the end of the shift. Lock up beverages and equipment, complete daily inventory prep sheets, and assist with restaurant cleanliness. Work effectively with kitchen and service teams while adhering to food safety policies and hotel amenities knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to follow instructions, assigned tasks, and meet deadlines
- Flexible schedule with availability days, nights, holidays, and weekend based on the demands of the hotel
- Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time, unless otherwise directed by your immediate manager
- Must clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule
- Must provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
- Read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language
- Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another
- Repetitive Motions: Making substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
- Lifting: Carrying certain laundry supplies, linens and other items
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
- Knowledge of drink preparation, previous bartender experience preferred
