Job Summary
Check customer identification to verify age requirements, present menus, and take food and beverage orders from guests. Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer, along with appetizers and food items according to recipes. Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area, compute bills, and accept payment while tracking sales receipts. Clean work areas, tables, and equipment, and maintain kitchen and bar stations by stocking supplies and organizing displays. Inventories liquor and food supplies weekly, ensures temp and waste logs are maintained daily, and reports potentially unsafe conditions. Limit liability related to excessive drinking by discontinuing service and notifying management when necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
