Job Summary
Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol sales and present menus to take food and beverage orders from guests. Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer, while also preparing appetizers and food items according to recipes and standards. Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area, compute bills, and accept payment while tracking sales receipts. Clean work areas, tables, and bar equipment, and maintain the kitchen and lounge stations by stocking supplies at the end of each shift. Slice and pit fruit for garnishes, arrange bottle displays, and create drink recipes. Inventory liquor and food supplies weekly, order requisitions, and ensure all temperature and waste logs are maintained daily.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
