Job Summary
Serve customers by anticipating their needs, initiating conversation, and offering assistance while maintaining a friendly, efficient, and professional manner. Mix and serve alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks following standard recipes, check identification for age requirements, and responsibly serve alcohol according to safe serving guidelines. Accurately enter orders into the POS, collect payments, report tips, and arrange displays for bottles and glasses. Slice and pit fruit for garnishes, maintain a clean bar area, and handle food orders for dining patrons. Arrive on time in full uniform, attend pre-shift meetings, and take breaks only when approved by management.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred and six months to one year related experience; or a combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally with customers and other staff in fast-paced environment
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to follow instructions and procedures
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to maintain poise and positive personality when under pressure
