Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must meet minimum age for preparing and serving alcoholic beverages
• •High School diploma or GED
• •Must have TIPS and ServSafe Certifications, or be willing to obtain after hire
• •One year of bartending or related experience in a full-service restaurant
• •One year of food and beverage experience
• •Must possess a valid driver's license

Desired Qualifications

• •Possess complete knowledge of all food and beverage menus – including specials, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation
• •Possess knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits
• •Possess complete knowledge and application of all Hospitality Standards, including sanitation guidelines and safety procedures
• •Balance excellent service between bar-top guests and the service well, and fill orders with precision
• •Practice proper cash-handling, and accurately record all sales of food and beverages while working
• •Maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe environment for all team members and guests
• •Perform opening and closing procedures, while organizing and preparing for your shift
• •Maintain proper stock levels (including inventory control and ordering) of perishables and spirits according to projected business
• •Properly store and rotate all products
• •Handle equipment, appliances, small wares, supplies, and tools
• •Communicate effectively with co-workers and managers
• •Assist in the training of new employees
• •Help radiate positivity to ensure guest satisfaction at all times
• •Welcome and greet all new and returning guests, using the guest's name whenever possible. Also provide a sincere farewell to any guests leaving
• •Verify proper government-issued identification of guests when alcohol is ordered as required by state and federal law
• •Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers' excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated patrons
