Prepare and serve high-quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks using standard recipes while accepting payment, processing charges, and making change. Check guest identification to verify age requirements and attempt to limit liability related to excessive drinking by offering transportation. Clean and sterilize glasses, utensils, and bar equipment; record orders immediately into the Point of Sales System. Stock the bar with beer, wine, liquor, and supplies like ice and glassware. Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails, slice and pit fruit for garnishes, and arrange bottles and glasses attractively. Present menus, make beverage recommendations, and answer guest questions. Clean and reset bars, tables, work areas, shelves, and storage. Recognize regular guests and provide local area information and directions. Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guest needs and support restaurant operations. Fill in for staff where needed to ensure efficient operations. Attend scheduled meetings and trainings.
