Job Summary

Greet members and guests warmly, then mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to approved recipes. Inspect the bar before opening, stock supplies, and present the beverage menu while answering related questions. Record drink orders accurately, collect payments, and manage inventory by ordering and restocking supplies as needed. Clean glassware, equipment, and work areas, ensuring compliance with local alcohol, safety, and hygiene regulations. Monitor bar operations, enforce revenue control procedures, and respond promptly to member or guest requests. Maintain high grooming standards and attend pre-shift meetings. Work evenings, holidays, and extended hours in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Minimum one-year related experience and/or training
  • Of legal age to prepare and serve alcoholic beverages
  • Excellent listening skills
  • Oral communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Positive interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and standard mixed drink recipes
  • Working knowledge of bar equipment
  • Knowledge of classes of alcohol, brand names, different glasses, and garnishments
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation practices
  • Results-oriented
  • Ability to work with minimal direction
  • Ability to work at large or small events with minimal supervision and in a team environment
  • Excellent team player
  • Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand for long periods
