Job Summary
The Bartender at PBR Texas is responsible for providing energetic and professional customer service, mixing drinks per recipes, taking beverage orders, and effectively communicating with both guests and staff. Candidates should have at least 1-2 years of bartending experience in high volume settings, knowledge of various alcoholic beverages, and the ability to meet state legal age requirements. The role requires strong communication and basic math skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Must speak fluent English
- Communication skills are utilized a significant amount of time when interacting with guests, cooks, wait staff, and supervisors
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Other languages preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
