Job Summary
Bartender responsibilities include providing energetic and professional customer service, mixing and serving drinks, ensuring compliance with age requirements, and completing assigned side work. Candidates should have 1-2 years of bartending experience in high volume environments, knowledge of drinks and garnishments, and effective communication skills. Alcohol awareness certification and/or relevant permits are required. The role may require handling heavy items and working during nights or weekends.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
- Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc.
- Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training
- Fluent in languages other than English
