Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for providing energetic and professional customer service, mixing drinks according to recipes, serving beverages, and ensuring all steps of service are followed. Key responsibilities include communicating effectively with guests and co-workers, completing side work, and promoting current offerings. The role requires a solid knowledge of beverage products, ability to handle barware and heavy items, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years of bartending experience at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, preparation methods, and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Communication skills for effective interaction with guests and staff
- Reading and writing skills for taking orders and completing paperwork
- Mathematical skills for handling payments and orders
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Fluent in English, other languages preferred
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card
