Job Summary
Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol sales, then present menus, take orders, and prepare beverages and appetizers according to recipes. Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area, compute bills, accept payment, and track sales receipts while attempting to limit liability from excessive drinking. Clean work areas, stock kitchen and bar stations, slice fruit for garnish, and arrange displays. Inventories supplies weekly, maintains temp and waste logs, and ensures food quality meets standards. Work part-time with a schedule that may vary based on business needs. As part of Aimbridge Hospitality's global hotel management team, you contribute to serving guests across over 1,550 properties.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
