Job Summary
Prepare all alcoholic beverages for guests and venue servers while actively taking orders and conducting full food and beverage service. Monitor the bar and dining experience, present menus, answer questions, and make suggestions for all items. Accurately enter orders into the POS system, follow proper payment procedures, and ensure delivery of food and beverages to guests at the bar and lounge. Maintain general cleanliness of the bar and venue, organize liquor displays, and stock bar stations with prescribed supplies. Perform opening and closing procedures, including wiping down surfaces and reporting equipment damage. Communicate guest needs to support staff and managers, and complete end-of-shift financial procedures. Attend daily pre-service meetings, training sessions, and departmental meetings. Work extended hours, irregular shifts, and holidays in a fast-paced environment involving varying levels of noise and crowds.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years of professional beverage experience
- Previous bartender experience
- Experience in high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
- Ability to write and verbally communicate
- Must have good positive energy throughout the day
- Must be able to print legibly for team members, management, and guests to read
- Must be able to kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to move quickly
- Must be able to push and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke
- Must be able to work extended hours, irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts
- Must be able to work holiday shifts
- Must maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance
- Must be effective as part of a team
- Must be able to interact with internal and external customers, managers, and coworkers in a professional, courteous manner
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to handle a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment
