Job Summary
Bartender position at Carletto, a Gray Collection restaurant opening in Ottawa. Responsibilities include greeting guests, seating assist, answering phone inquiries, preparing and serving beverage orders according to recipes and standards, interacting with guests and making recommendations, handling cash and card transactions, processing room service orders, maintaining bar cleanliness and organization, restocking supplies, managing inventory and stock control, using equipment safely, and upholding company standards with strong communication and teamwork. Must have Smart Serve certification, bilingual English/French, and the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; physical ability to move and lift to support a high-volume service environment; 8+ hour shifts with potential for career development within a growing hospitality group.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional knowledge of relevant beverages and legally allowed to serve alcohol (Smart Serve certified)
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in English and French
- Strong interpersonal skills with a passion for hospitality
- Possess a strong work ethic with a desire to achieve team goals
- Ability to prioritize and manage your time during high volume and busy times
- Being physically able to move quickly, bend, and reach throughout your shift; able to stand and walk for long periods of time 8+ hours and lift at least 50 pounds
- Flexible schedule with availability on evenings, weekends and holidays
- Valid work permit required
