Job Summary
Provide friendly, courteous beverage service and beverage preparation while ensuring all bar guests meet age requirements for alcohol and tobacco. Manage inventory, restock supplies, and maintain a clean, organized bar including cups, glassware, and food service supplies. Handle cash, comps, and credit transactions with accuracy, and operate the POS system to process orders and specials. Prepare and serve menu items, describe specials, and promote positive customer relations in a high-volume environment. Requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 55 lbs, and working flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must obtain a Louisiana Responsible Vendor Server Permit and pass a background investigation.
Required Qualifications
- Cash handling experience
- High volume bartending experience
- Minimum of (6) month's customer service experience in a high volume operation
- Casino experience
- Ability to understand and comply with all departmental and company rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Must pose excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work flexible schedules
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen
- Must successfully pass a background investigation
- Must obtain and maintain gaming license
- Must be twenty-one (21) years of age
- Valid driver's license or state ID
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug screen
- Must be able to successfully pass the tribal gaming commission licensing
- High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED)
- Minimum one-year experience of hospitality industry experience in a high volume-high operation
- Casino/Restaurant experience
- Requires being mobile 100% of time
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to tolerate extensive background noises
- Require to lift/push or pull at least 55lbs
- Requires regular, consistent attendance
