Job Summary
Monitor bar steward performance, engage guests to ensure beverage satisfaction, and rectify service shortfalls impacting the guest experience. Oversee guest bar and specialty coffee execution, preparing cocktails and drinks per company standards while maintaining a clean, sanitized, and fully stocked venue. Account for all beverage stock by conducting inventory accounts, minimizing waste, and reporting equipment damages promptly. Mentor the Beverage Service Team through coaching, training, and ongoing development to support career progression. Requires two years of hospitality or cruise-related experience, a specialization in wines and spirits, and fluency in English and Japanese. Regular physical activity includes standing for extended periods and lifting heavy items.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a recognized hotel/bar operation or bar school
- Two years of experience in hospitality or cruise-related bartender positions
- Experience and knowledge of USPH, the beverage industry
- Specialization in wines, cocktails, spirits and all other beverage-related products
- Experience in the service execution of wines, cocktails, spirits and all other beverage-related products
- Excellent management and bartending skills
- Ability to develop and motivate and lead a large team
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to make decisions which positively impact the overall guest experience
- Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
- Good command of the Japanese language, both verbal and written
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift or move heavy items in line with operational requirements
Desired Qualifications
