Job Summary
Bartender needed at Embassy Suites Minneapolis Downtown. Duties include greeting guests with enthusiasm, presenting bar menus and recommendations, taking and serving drink orders, recording orders into the POS, processing payments, and maintaining bar cleanliness. Responsibilities also cover restocking, opening/closing duties, delivering high-quality guest experiences, communicating with guests and team members, ensuring safety and compliance with health regulations, and participating in required training. The role requires knowledge of wines and craft cocktails, ability to work as part of a team, and flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 21 years of age
- US work authorization required
- Meet grooming standards
- Able to work as part of a team
- Able to work with little or no supervision
- Minimum 6 months previous bartending experience in a similar setting required
- Solid knowledge of wines and craft cocktails is required
- Previous hotel/resort experience (preferred)
- Alcohol & Food Safety certification is a plus, but not required
- Able to prioritize, organize, and follow-up
- Strong attention to detail and ability to make concise decisions
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
- Able to demonstrate high energy and strong enthusiasm for customer service
- Able to work on your feet for extended periods
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
- Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
