Job Summary
Prepare cocktails and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests during events, special functions, and catered functions. Open wine, take drink orders, and up sell menu items to maximize revenue while accommodating special dietary needs. Assist with food and buffet preparation, set up banquet events, and replenish breakfast items as needed. Process payments, balance cash, and enter orders into the POS system. Perform pre and post-shift side work including table setup, breakdown, and maintaining cleanliness. Follow all sanitation, health department, and TIPS training guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Experience within a hotel/resort environment
- A valid current Food Handlers Card or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment
- Responsible Beverage Certified (TiPS) P.A.S.T. training completed
- Ability to multi-task
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to serve needs of guest through verbal face-to-face interaction
- Ability to perform basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals while operating under the Yedla Management Company handbook
- Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards of comparable operation, guest relations and etiquette
- Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs
