Job Summary
Bartender responsibilities include providing energetic and professional customer service, effectively communicating with guests and co-workers, mixing and preparing cocktails, serving beverages, checking identification, and accurately recording sales. Qualifications include 1-2 years bartending experience, knowledge of beverages, required certifications, and strong communication skills. Position is part-time, located at Geno's Steaks in the Power Plant Hampton Roads dining area.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1-2 years experience with bartending at high volume bars and/or nightclubs
- Knowledge of liquor brands, beer, wine, champagne, non-alcoholic beverages, designated glassware, preparation methods and garnishments
- Must meet state legal age requirements
- Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency
Desired Qualifications
- Formal bartending training preferred
- Fluent in English, other languages preferred
