Job Summary
Prepare beverages in accordance with high-quality standards, ensuring excellence in customer service to create a memorable dining experience. Engage with guests, promote products and events, and provide feedback on recipes and preferences while offering wine recommendations. Handle the busy pace of the bar by working with a fun team of servers and bar staff, pouring beers, and crafting classic and inventive cocktails. This role requires two years of bartending experience in a high-volume food and beverage establishment and relevant serving certificates. Candidates must be self-motivated, responsible, and energetic, with the ability to stand and walk for long periods. The position offers a supportive work environment with development and training opportunities across Gateway's 27 locations.
Required Qualifications
- Two years of bartending experience in a high-volume food and beverage establishment
- Serving It Right (BC)/ Proserve (Alberta) certificate/ Smart Serve (Ontario)
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be 19 years of age or older in British Columbia and 18 years of age or older in Alberta
- Can assess situations carefully and are sensitive in dealing with people
