Job Summary
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, take guest orders using suggestive selling techniques, and record transactions into the point-of-sale system. Set bar stations, manage inventory by checking stock levels, and requisition supplies from the storeroom. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas, remove soiled wares, and collect tips at shift end. Open wine and champagne bottles per service standards and guide bar back activities to ensure optimum guest service. Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including reporting to the supervisor or Manager on Duty. Must be RBS and Food Safety certified. Flexible shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- RBS Certified
- Food Safety certified
- Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware and garnishes
- Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state liquor regulations
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must possess excellent communication, follow up, and organizational
- Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest's service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
- Must be able to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs
- Scheduling includes holidays, nights, and weekends depending on hotel events and functions
