Job Summary
Greet guests, take drink and food orders, and prepare cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes. Maintain strong knowledge of menus to provide recommendations and upsell premium products while ensuring responsible alcohol service and monitoring guest consumption. Keep the bar clean and organized by restocking liquor, garnishes, and ice; clean glassware, utensils, and bar tools; and collect trash. Handle cash and credit card transactions, assist with opening and closing duties including inventory counts, and change kegs or replace CO2 tanks. Work collaboratively with servers and barbacks, prepare garnishes, and report maintenance issues. Requires previous bartending experience, alcohol beverage certification, and ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience
- Ability to obtain alcohol beverage and/or food service certifications as required by local ordinance
- Strong knowledge of spirits, beer and wine
- Responsible alcohol service
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Professional appearance
- Positive attitude
- Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights, and holidays
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking
- Occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to push up to 75 pounds
- Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions
