Job Summary
Check identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchases and present menus to guests. Prepare food and drink orders including appetizers, wine, liquor, and beer according to recipes and standards. Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area, compute bills, accept payments, and track sales receipts. Clean work areas, tables, and equipment; stock kitchen and bar stations at the end of each shift. Inventories supplies weekly and maintains temp and waste logs daily. Limit liability related to excessive drinking by discontinuing service and notifying management when necessary. Plan and control lounge/bar operations while adhering to safety, security, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
