Job Summary
Greet guests, mix hand-crafted beverages with precise portion control, and input orders into the point-of sale system. Manage cash transactions, verify charges, and maintain bar setup while ensuring daily stock of fresh garnishes and perishables. Adhere strictly to liquor regulations regarding serving minors and intoxicated guests, perform assigned cleaning tasks, and operate the keyboard and register to close out checks. This role requires previous bartending experience, basic math skills for cash handling, and the ability to stand in confined spaces for long periods.
Required Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience
- Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of alcoholic beverages
- Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language
- Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand weights and measurements
- Ability to remember, recite, and promote the variety of menu items
- Ability to operate a keyboard & point of sale procedures to pre-check and order & close out a check
- Ability to work and stand in confined spaces for long periods of time
