Job Summary
Check customer identification to verify age requirements, present menus, and take food and beverage orders from guests. Prepare drink orders including wine, liquor, and beer, while also preparing appetizers and food items according to recipes and standards. Monitor seating in the lounge/bar area, compute bills, accept payment, and track sales receipts. Clean work areas, tables, and equipment, and maintain kitchen and lounge stations by stocking supplies at the end of each shift. Plan and control lounge/bar operations, slice fruit for garnishes, arrange displays, and inventory supplies weekly. Ensure all temp and waste logs are maintained daily, examine foodstuffs for quality, and report tips properly for tax processing.
Required Qualifications
- Three to six months related experience
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
