Job Summary
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, serve food options, and manage bar and kitchen area maintenance. Anticipate guest needs, take orders using suggestive selling techniques, and record transactions into the point-of-sale system. Complete opening and closing duties, including stock checks, requisitioning supplies, and collecting tips. Ensure station cleanliness, set bars and condiments to standards, and guide bar back activities for optimum service. Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified, follow 4 Keys service standards, and work flexible shifts based on business needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalence
- Minimum 1 year experience as a barback or bartender in a hotel or restaurant
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing
- Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Ascend and descend a ladder
- Must be able to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
- Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
- Must be able to speak and understand and communicate the primary language(s) used in the workplace
- Must possess excellent communication, follow-up, and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to push, pull bend, squat and lift on a regular basis
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
- Be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment
- Follow directions thoroughly
- Knowledgeable of beverages, recipes and correct glassware and garnishes
- Knowledgeable and ensure compliance of all state liquor regulations
