Job Summary
Welcome customers, read beverage preferences, and take orders while making recommendations and informing guests about new specials. Select and mix ingredients, garnish glasses, and serve drinks, checking ID for legal age compliance and ensuring responsible service. Prepare menu items per recipes, handle multiple tables efficiently, and manage cash, credit, and debit transactions with accurate balancing. Take inventory and order supplies to keep the bar and tables well-stocked. This role requires standing for prolonged hours and lifting up to 25 pounds. Full-time hourly pay is $6.05 plus tips.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a high level of endurance and mental acuity and toughness to manage conflict and deal successfully with high stress situations
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Must be able to stand for prolonged hours
- Must be able to handle multiple tables and tasks in an efficient manner
- Must be able to handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions
- Must be able to balance the cash register
- Must be able to check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol
- Must be able to provide responsible service of alcoholic beverages
- Must be able to comply with all local, state, and federal liquor laws and food safety regulations
- Must be able to take orders
- Must be able to make recommendations
- Must be able to upsell where appropriate
- Must be able to educate self and assist co-workers in understanding basic bar vocabulary
- Must be able to select and mix ingredients
- Must be able to garnish glasses
- Must be able to serve beverages to customers

- Must be able to prepare and serve menu items according to Fogo de Chao recipes and guidelines
- Must be able to use proper equipment and ingredients
