Job Summary
Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks with garnishes following service standards and guest preferences. Anticipate guest needs using suggestive selling, record orders accurately in the POS system, and process payments while managing tip collection. Stay current on trends to create cocktail menu items, complete opening and closing duties, maintain bar stock levels, and oversee barbacks to ensure smooth operations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, reset stations after guest use, and ensure all equipment is ready for service. Adhere to safety, security, and operational policies including required certifications like TIPS and Food Safety. Collaborate effectively with co-workers and other departments to deliver efficient, quality service under pressure.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors, and guests in-person and phone conversation
- Ability to bend and twist, push, and pull, stoop, and kneel
- Maintain required certifications (e.g., TIPS, Food Safety)
- Maintain a current permit or food safety certification as required by the local government
- Communicate effectively in the primary workplace language
