Job Summary

Deliver warm, personalized beverage service while overseeing nightly closing procedures, inventory management, and cash reconciliation for The Selvedge Bar. Lead evening operations as a role model for hospitality, coordinating with Guest Services, Culinary, and Housekeeping teams to ensure seamless guest journeys from arrival through departure. Support bar team onboarding, coaching, and development while maintaining strict adherence to alcohol service regulations and operational standards. Complete end-of-day reporting, secure service areas, and verify cleanliness before the next shift begins.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two (2) years of bartending experience in a luxury hotel, boutique property, fine dining restaurant, or upscale cocktail bar
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification
  • California Food Handler Card
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as business needs require
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, and climb stairs
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to safely carry trays, beverages, and food items
  • Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions including lifting, carrying, serving, and cleaning
  • Ability to maintain focus and professionalism in a fast-paced hospitality environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience
  • Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails, wine, beer, coffee, tea, and beverage service
  • Passion for genuine hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with point-of-sale systems and cash handling
  • Knowledge of inventory management and beverage cost controls
  • Extensive knowledge of Sonoma County wineries, restaurants, and local attractions
