Job Summary
Execute exceptional craft cocktails, follow recipes for syrups and house-made ingredients, and prepare and serve beverages to company standards. Greet guests and members politely, proactively anticipate needs, and demonstrate urgency during all interactions. Present extensive knowledge of beverages and ingredients, make recommendations based on preferences or food pairings, and ensure thorough understanding of menu items and daily specials. Enter all transactions into the POS system, issue accurate checks, and close sales timely. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and storage areas, complete daily stocking and opening/closing procedures, and monitor expiration of perishable items. Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays; long hours may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one (1) year of previous bartending experience
- Knowledge of HACCP & local food safety standards
- Possesses or can obtain State Food Safety Certificate
- Robust knowledge of wines and beverages
- Extraordinary attention to detail, quality and service
- Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Long hours may be required due to business demands
- Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds
- Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects
- Desire to work in a fast-paced environment
