Job Summary
Deliver fast, friendly service by greeting guests, taking food and drink orders, and entering orders into Micros. Prepare drinks and food following bar recipes, garnish items, and deliver trays to designated areas. Maintain station cleanliness, buss and reset tables, and ensure accurate financial transactions using credit card machines and cash. Monitor guest demeanor, enforce alcohol awareness procedures, and address unusual matters by informing the supervisor. Complete opening and closing duties, conduct bar inventories, and participate in sales incentives while fostering a cooperative team environment in a noisy, fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests
- Must be friendly and able to smile frequently
- Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros
- Must be able to make changes
- Must be able to accurately conduct credit card transactions
- Must be able to account of all monies at the end of each shift
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
- Must be able to work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures
- Must be able to work in noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Must be able to read and write handwritten notes
- Must be able to walk or stand 100% of shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
- Must be able to maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items
- Must be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- Must be able to follow all bar recipes
- Must be able to adhere to company's sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow alcohol awareness procedures
- Must be able to assess Guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager
- Must be able to maintain responsibility for personal bank
- Must be able to ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- Must be able to enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- Must be able to use appropriate modifications and charges
- Must be able to complete opening/closing duties in a timely manner
- Must be able to participate in all incentives and contests
- Must be able to complete bar inventories and daily requisition sheets
- Must be able to greet newly seated Guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Must be able to accurately take Guests' food and drink orders
- Must be able to deliver trays to the designated bar areas
- Must be able to bus and reset tables
- Must be able to check back after delivery of food
- Must be able to maintain drink levels
- Must be able to remove clutter
- Must be able to respond to Guest needs in a timely manner
- Must be able to maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company Team members
- Must be able to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate
- Must be able to help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness
- Must be able to listen to hear Guests' orders and needs
