Job Summary
Deliver fast, friendly service by accurately taking food and drink orders, operating Micros, and managing credit card transactions while maintaining precise cash and coin counts. Prepare and serve beverages using bar recipes, garnish food, and buss tables to keep the station clean and the environment warm. Monitor guest demeanor, address intoxicated guests per policy, and communicate needs via Micros to ensure satisfaction. Complete opening and closing duties, bar inventories, and daily requisition sheets while adhering to sanitation procedures. Work days, nights, and weekends in a noisy, fast-paced environment, standing 100% of shift and lifting up to 30 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests
- Must be friendly and able to smile frequently
- Must demonstrate ability to operate Micros
- Must be able to make changes
- Must be able to accurately conduct credit card transactions
- Must be able to account of all monies at the end of each shift
- Must be able to follow all bar recipes
- Must be able to adhere to company's sanitation procedures
- Must be able to follow alcohol awareness procedures
- Must be able to assess Guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager
- Must be able to maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items
- Must be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation
- Must be able to enter orders into Micros quickly and in proper sequence
- Must be able to use appropriate modifications and charges
- Must be able to maintain responsibility for personal bank
- Must be able to ensure all financial transactions are accurate
- Must be able to calculate and return appropriate change
- Must be able to maintain adequate cash and coin for making change
- Must be able to greet newly seated Guests in a friendly and timely manner
- Must be able to accurately take Guests' food and drink orders
- Must be able to bus and reset tables
- Must be able to ensure ongoing Guest satisfaction by checking back after delivery of food
- Must be able to maintain drink levels
- Must be able to remove clutter
- Must be able to pre-buss as necessary
- Must be able to respond to Guest needs in a timely manner
- Must be able to work in a noisy, fast paced environment with distracting conditions
- Must be able to work days, nights, and/or weekends as required
- Must be able to work in environments with both hot and cold temperatures such as freezers and around cooking equipment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to move about facility and stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to walk or stand 100% of shift
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently
- Must be able to read and write handwritten notes
- Must be able to dress in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times
