Job Summary
Greet guests promptly upon entry, present menus, and take beverage orders while preparing and serving cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks per standard recipes. Upsell specials and food items as directed, execute wine service, and communicate allergy information clearly on tickets. Record orders accurately in the POS system, accept payments, and maintain bar cleanliness and inventory levels. Recognize regular patrons and respond courteously to requests or problems, reporting any equipment issues to management. Work morning and evening shifts including holidays and weekends, holding an Alcohol Beverage Certification and meeting age requirements.
Required Qualifications

- Knowledgeable of wine and beverage brand selections
- Knowledge of drink garnishes
- Knowledge of prices
- Comprehensive knowledge of wines by the glass
- Growing knowledge of wines by the bottle
- Comprehensive knowledge of the inspiration, ingredients, and technique used in all house cocktails
- Complete understanding of standardized recipes for classic and contemporary cocktails
- Able to confidently make food and beverage pairing recommendations
- Knowledge of pre-check register operation
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle money
- Knowledge of computer operations
- Knowledge of ordering procedures
- Knowledgeable basic sanitation
- Must be able to work morning and evening shifts
- Must be able to work Holidays and weekends
- Must have Alcohol Beverage Certification
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to create a friendly, welcoming environment
- Must be able to respond to all guests with a cheerful, helpful attitude
