Job Summary
Bartender at City Winery delivering consistently exceptional guest experiences by preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, educating guests on beverage offerings, and upselling to drive beverage sales. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, handling transactions, maintaining knowledge of City Winery brand and menu, ensuring health and safety standards, managing bar inventory and cash, and supporting floor service as needed. Must have strong knowledge of wine, craft beer and spirits, excellent English communication, ability to work a flexible schedule, and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Familiarity with POS and cash handling, professional guest service, and the ability to upsell and promote promotions and events. Attends trainings and adheres to company policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum qualifications: 2+ years’ experience as a bartender in a fast-paced, high-volume service environment and/or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong work ethic, team player, and exceptional guest service skills
- Ability to consistently deliver high-quality guest experiences and create a memorable City Winery visit
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build positive relationships
- Aptitude to resolve problems
- Ability to execute professional guest service experience
- Ability to navigate venue conditions (tight spaces, dark room, loud environment)
- Ability to handle all guests with composure and hospitality
- Strong knowledge of wine, craft beer and craft spirits
- Polished presentation
- Ability to take direction from others
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Fluency in English with reading/writing/basic math and able to use a POS
- Flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, holidays
- Physical ability to stand/walk for shift, bend, pull, push, stairs, lift up to 50lbs.
