Job Summary
Bartender (Cantinero/a) – handles bar service duties including preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, taking beverage and food orders at the bar, restocking inventory, and assisting servers. Responsibilities include inventory counts, securing liquor/beer/wine, assisting with garnishes and batch recipes, ensuring equipment like taps, coolers, blenders, and coffee makers are clean, verifying IDs and age-eligibility, and supervising cash handling and payment processing. The role requires strong customer service, leadership in bar operations, and the ability to work in a high-volume environment, with responsibilities extending to deep cleaning and supporting other staff as needed. Must be at least 21, possess Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification, and have familiarity with basic computer systems, POS, and hospitality software. The position is housed in a hotel setting with internal policy and schedule flexibility.
Required Qualifications
- High school or equivalent education required.
- One to three years high volume bar experience required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age to serve alcohol.
- Safe Server Alcohol & Food Handlers certification required.
- California RBS Certification
