Job Summary
Bartender at Breckenridge Grand Vacations’ Breckenridge lobby bar, responsible for greeting guests, crafting artisanal cocktails, recommending beverage pairings, managing bar inventory, enforcing Colorado liquor policies, handling cash and POS transactions, and collaborating with resort teams to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Requires a minimum of 2+ years of bartending or beverage service, high school diploma or equivalent, ability to obtain Colorado Responsible Alcohol Beverage Vendor Certification within 60 days, proficiency in cash handling, inventory management, and POS systems, and ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Schedule includes evenings, weekends, and holidays; compensation is $12.14/hr plus gratuities. Preferred qualifications include resort/hotel hospitality background, TIPS certification, Spanish or other languages, advanced mixology and sustainability knowledge, and experience with bar-specific POS systems. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of bartending or beverage service experience (fast-paced bar/restaurant environment preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must obtain Colorado Responsible Alcohol Beverage Vendor Certification within 60 days of hire (provided by employer)
- Proficient in cash handling, inventory management, and POS systems
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, timekeeping software)
- Ability to type by touch and navigate internet/search engines
- Ability to stand/walk for 6+ hours and lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in close quarters, moderate noise, and variable temperatures (including outdoor cold =32°F)
- Tolerance to pet dander (pet-friendly resort)
- Exceptional customer service with ability to anticipate guest needs
- Strong verbal/written English fluency (for manuals, reports, and guest interactions)
- Basic math skills (measurements, fractions, cash reconciliation)
- Calm under pressure; de-escalates conflicts tactfully
- Team player who gives/receives feedback constructively
- Self-starter who takes initiative without supervision
