Job Summary
Take and serve drink orders accurately for members and servers while inputting transactions at the point of sale. Prepare beverages following established recipes, maintain daily bar setup, and ensure proper stock levels for all products. Check customer identification for alcohol sales, handle member complaints professionally, and secure all liquor storage areas. Manage inventory of fresh garnishes and perishables, adhere to TABC and health safety standards, and assist with event setup and breakdown. Maintain open communication regarding conflict resolution and follow opening, closing, and requisition procedures. This role requires a valid Texas driver's license, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and driving a golf cart throughout the property.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED certificate, or relevant work experience
- Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License
- Must meet the driver safety policy requirements
- Must be able to regularly stand and move around for the entirety or majority of their shift
- Must be able to push, pull, bend, lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Likely this role will require the ability to drive a golf cart to transport from one area of the property to another in a safe and secure manner
- Must be able to regularly work outside or inside and in different types of weather including excessive heat, cold temperatures, rain and sunshine
- Must be able to check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Must be able to adhere to food, health and safety standards
- Must be able to maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis according to established Standards
- Must be able to ensure par levels in beverage products and bar supplies are appropriately maintained at all times in all areas of responsibility
- Must be able to follow & adhere to opening, closing, and requisition procedures developed for the bartender position in Food & Beverage
- Must be able to maintain the operation in accordance with all TABC / state and county liquor laws
- Must be able to assist in the supervision of beverage product inventory management and cost control
- Must be able to maintain open communication in regard to conflict resolution with co-workers
- Must be able to handle member problems and complaints as professionally as possible or refer to F&B leadership for support
- Must be able to assist with the setup, breakdown and service of all major club functions and events as needed
- Must be able to take and serve orders accurately and with a positive attitude
- Must be able to prepare drink orders for guests and servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed by Bluejack Recipes & Standards
- Must be able to inputs orders at the point of sale and creates a check for each guest to maintain accountability of all food, beverage, and miscellaneous items served
- Must be able to maintain a high level of hospitality and professionalism with each team member and guest
- Must be able to ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean, professional, and in accordance with the F&B Grooming Standard
- Must be able to be responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables daily to ensure product quality
- Must be able to secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas
- Good organizational skills and the ability to work well independently, attention to quality and detail
- Requires excellent oral and written communications skills
- Service oriented style with professional presentations skills
- Experience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
Desired Qualifications
- Prior Bartending experience in high-end golf/country club or hospitality industry is a plus
