Job Summary
Provide fresh, high-quality drinks in a fun atmosphere with speedy service; greet guests, upsell beverages, and suggest offerings to fit guests' desires. Take beverage orders, prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks per standard recipes, maintain bar cleanliness, wash glassware, restock inventory, handle payments, and assist in serving food at the bar. Lead in FOH operations as the “Floor Generals,” ensuring guests have the best Big Whiskeys experience, and maintain knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor while building relationships with regulars.
Required Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age
- Have a minimum of 2 years of bartending experience
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of our guests
- Have a working knowledge of beer, wine, and liquor, and common drink recipes
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a cash register
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
